Reason Number 1. Timing
Timing is everything and Ron is going into his 3rd year of his 5 year deal with the WFT. Ron has a record remarkably similar to that of Jay Gruden. Risking everything on a QB draft class that has no immutable #1 guy could prove fatal to his tenure. Additionally, Terry is going into his final year, we need him to feel as valued as possible so that he remains with us and on good terms for the foreseeable future. We need a QB that's going to make Terry Happy otherwise it could cost us the Ron Rivera regime and Terry McLaurin.
