Offense: Grade C

Against a very bad Giants defense the Washington offense struggled for a good portion of the game. The passing game was completely shut down by the Giants secondary. Heinicke held the ball entirely too long taking multiple sacks. Late in the second half Turner started to focus solely on the run game, letting our offense line dominate the Giants in the trenches. The Washington offensive line led the way for a ground game that amassed 226 rushing yards. At the end of the day the offense should have been much more productive than it was, but it did enough to get the win.

Defense: Grade B

The defense took advantage of a Giants offense down to their 4th string quarterback in Jake Fromm. The secondary employed a much tighter coverage today which confused Fromm and led to two interceptions. The run defense was excellent allowing the Giants to have a total of 94 yards rushing. While the defense played well it was still against a 4th string QB and depleted Giants offensive line.

Special Teams: Grade B+

K Joey Slye was good today, going 3/3 on field goals. P Tress Way was also back to form with his booming punts helping to keep the Giants offense hemmed in. Deandre Carter was bottled most of the day by the Giants kick coverage units. Overall, a solid job from all special teams today.

Coaching: Grade B

The entire coaching staff had a nice bounce back performance today. After looking inept during the most recent 4-game losing streak the coaching staff was aggressive when they needed to be on both sides of the ball. The coaches did a much better job of utilizing their talent and putting players into positions to make plays.
